Okay, I’m trying my hand at three poetry formats. Here’s hoping I got them right…

Didactic Cinquain

Wilson
Lost, Unlucky
Falling downhill fast
Regretting decision to hike
Patient

Haiku

Lying in his bed
Waiting for his bones to mend
Bored without his friend

Limerick

Startled by a loud noise from the hallway
Looking up in time to hear his friend say
“I brought you some food
If you’re in the mood
We’ll dine on candy and ice cream all day”

I like how the first two tell a story in very few words. I love the rhythm of the first one especially, it flows very nicely. The Haiku makes me wonder where House has got to. And really, who wouldn't want to eat candy and ice cream all day :)

I love how each poetry form tells a separate story but connects with each other. My favorite is the first. I get a sense of progression, like tumbling down a hill. Brilliant!

Oooh, I like!

My favorite's the second, but I do love how they all snap together to tell a story. Like Voltron.
