Title: Dial a Drunk
Summary: House gets a late night call from a drunk, and needy Wilson
Words: about 475
Characters: Wilson and House
Rating: Technically there’s no mature content but some subjects are very grownup. Maybe a PG13/T for teen type.
Notes/Warnings: Drunk!Wilson, and I see this as finished. I know there are lots of unanswered questions. I just don’t want to answer them all.

Title: Bombshell
Summary: an alternate universe in which House is the one who gets sick in the season 7 episode Bombshells, and Cuddy can't handle things. In this story, he's actually quite sick, unlike in the episode where Cuddy was basically fine at the end of the episode. Here Wilson is left to deal with his own feelings, House's illness, and House's emotional state as the couple break up and House is diagnosed with kidney disease. I'm planning to include dream sequences, and House even may require a kidney transplant (from the obvious donor)
Characters: currently House, Wilson, and Cuddy
Rating: PG because there are references to sex, some swearing, and there will be mild violence later on.
Warnings: Alternate universe, mildly out of character for House, and I apologize for any typos/spelling errors in this chapter but I had it saved in a strange version of MS word and could not do a real spellcheck. The next one will be in my current version so I will be fine. Like I said earlier, there is mild language, and vulgarity but nothing too serious.

What's In Those Eyes

Decisions as I go,
To anywhere I flow
Sometimes I believe,
A time where we should
know
I can't fly high
I can't go low
Today I got a million
Tomorrow I don't
know

House couldn’t. Wilson needs him, and House couldn’t be there for him. No, House had to be the self-absorbed jerk that he is. Wilson gives and gives and gives, but House can never reciprocate. It’s not a Housian thing to do. While Wilson knows this, because he’s House’s so-called best friend, he wishes that, just once, House might be a kind person. But he doesn’t and Wilson is left alone.

Wilson sits with a patient. He hears the familiar Step-THUMP! of House’s footsteps. He inwardly groans, and apologizes to the patient in advance for what’s about to happen when House barges in without so much as a knock for politeness. The patient leaves, and House closes the door behind him. House asks Wilson for a Vicodin prescription, and because Wilson is who he is, he gives it to him. House leaves, and doesn’t notice the sadness in Wilson’s eyes.

Wilson is on the balcony, shared with House’s office, contemplating the warm afternoon sky. It is a typical scene, but something is different- Wilson’s eyes are ringed in red, and unshed tears glisten in those wonderfully expressive eyes. House enters the balcony, and rants to Wilson about his newest case. Wilson nods in all the right places, and steadies his voice enough to offer a suggestion. House leaves, again still unaware of Wilson’s feelings.

House is in Wilson’s office. He pops two Vicodin, and Wilson yells at him. Wilson is worried about House. He doesn’t want House’s liver to fail. He wants House to live, because he needs him, no matter how much pain House puts him through. It’s then that he realizes he loves House. House yells back and stomps from the room, and Wilson sinks in his office chair, head in his hands, shoulders shaking as he tries to keep his emotions in check. His next patient doesn’t notice the falsehood in Wilson’s warm smile.

They make up. Wilson apologizes, and though he only receives a curt nod and a sarcastic comment, he knows he’s been forgiven and the comment is House’s way of apologizing. His heart still aches at all the emotionally exhausting events he’s gone through during the week, but one thing has gone right. He goes home to his empty, cold house, and desperately wishes he’s at House’s but instead goes to bed after swallowing a sleeping pill.

Wilson locks the door to his office. He sits in the corner on his couch, and, his head between his knees, the tears he can’t stop run down his face. House enters via the balcony. Damn, Wilson thinks, I should’ve locked that. House tells Wilson to save it for his house. That night, House holds Wilson tight as Wilson cries into House’s shirt. House tilts Wilson’s head up, and looks into those chocolate eyes that he has always found beautiful, and finally sees the sadness. He kisses Wilson softly on the lips. When they break for air, House notices Wilson’s eyes have become slightly alight with happiness. And that’s enough for House.

Title: Heat Wave
Author: MnstrTruckSlash
Words: 2,500
Rating: R/NC-17 for a full on, graphic sex scene and a few swear words but otherwise mostly clean. House is naked a lot but I don’t describe it graphically.
Summary: House just got out of Mayfield and Wilson is staying home for a few days to take care of him. There is a sudden heat wave, and they are stuck without air conditioning, which leads to House lying around naked, and sucking on popsicles a lot. This is emotionally difficult for Wilson. Eventually, he ends up with a physically injury too.
Warnings: Somewhat OOC, hardcore slash here, sex scene towards the end, it’s also a sort of alternate universe where House and Wilson, and my other usual stuff. No child abuse or anything, though.
Characters: House and Wilson
Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to the show or the characters, or anything related to Fox.
Additional Note: I originally had Wilson injure a slightly different part of his body. I didn't change much but if anything doesn't make sense following the injury scene, let me know.

Title: My Best Friend is a Ghost
Summary:  House and Wilson are traveling across the country, following the series finale of House. In this story, I explore the possibility that the end of the episode wasn’t exactly what we thought it was. What if House died in the drug den fire, and came back as a ghost? How would they handle things when House leaves the Casper stage and becomes something a bit more dangerous?
Rating: PG, I guess. No real swearing, no violence, sex or drug use but it is a bit angsty and sad and emotionally difficult.
Warnings: OOC, and AU, spoilers for season eight, sort of a crossover between House and Supernatural (well, only because it involves a ghost and some other things I’ve learned from watching the show. So far there are no SPN characters in this story, and it doesn’t involve any other monsters/creatures),and it’s not slash but they have a close friendship and there is a bit of non-sexual cuddling. I have no right to the show House or to anything to do with Supernatural, Fox, the CW, or any of the actors. Also, I changed the timeline of the show. I have House and Wilson still traveling in December of 2012, but they have been on the road for quite a while so I just pushed the diagnosis forward a bit, so that I could include it in the Winter Angst Fest.

Author’s Note: When I first came upon this prompt between seasons five and six, everyone was preoccupied with House as an inpatient at Mayfield. I actually hesitated to take it for that reason – after all, no writer likes to endlessly rehash old ideas. However, when I reconsidered the notion that Wilson might be fractured enough to engineer his way into joining his friend… Well, that gave me considerable impetus. Then there was Broken, and canon threw a wrench into the story I had been carefully constructing around the framework of my necessarily original doctors, nurses, and orderlies. I’m not one to buck canon, you see, and the dreariness of starting over slowed me down; other projects intervened. Now here we are, at the end of House M.D., and as I endured the final weeks of tension leading up to the finale, this story reemerged, rearranged itself, and was finally reborn.
