Lolol, yeah, I remember studying for my finals and revising about Malaria and sickle cell anemia and always getting confused about whether it's Malaria or sleeping sickness that is transmitted by mosquitoes ^^.

I always thought it was very cool that sickle-cell patients are immune to Malaria. I've forgotten why that is (something about the mishapen RBC's not being able to carry the Malaria germ or something??), but the fact alone makes for a lot of interesting thoughts about heredity and Darwin :).
