Wheel of Mis-Fortune Game

We've adapted a popular game show for a bit of summer fun.

  1. One person provides a series of dashes to represent a sick!Wilsony word or phrase.  It can be a diagnosis, a medical test or procedure, the title of a sick!fic, an author, a summer hazard that could befall our favorite oncologist, etc.

    • Use a / between words.

    • Include any punctuation, such as apostrophes, hyphens, commas, etc.

    • List the appropriate category as a clue.

    • If you want to make the game go a little faster, you can provide the letters R, S, T, L, N, and E as part of your puzzle.

But if you'd rather not and keep the suspense going, we're totally cool with that. :)

    • Here's an example to give you the idea:

      Category:  Diagnosis

      S __ __ R __ __ E N T R __ __ __ L __ R  /  T __ __ __ __ __ __ R __ __ __

  2. You can guess up to two letters at the same time.

  3. Wait until the person who posted the puzzle lets you know whether or not any of the letters are correct before anyone jumps in with some new ones.

  4. Each time someone guesses correctly, the person who posted the puzzle will provide an updated version of the puzzle in that comment thread.

  5. Once the puzzle has been updated, anyone can guess a couple of more letters, and so on until it's been solved.

  6. The first person who solves the puzzle becomes the master of ceremonies for the next round, and starts a new comment thread.

  7. You're welcome, yea, even encouraged to provide a link when someone solves your puzzle.

We'll provide the first one to get you started.

So far as I know, it is! Sorry about last night. It was stupid of me to claim a win when I knew I was tired.

Good letter choices!

I'm guess this is some name then, time for guesswork.

B.

Yeah, it's a name. The disease was used on the show, if that helps...but you might want to use Google. The last word in the diagnosis should give it to you.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a rare disease involving lots of long words I can't even begin to comprehend :) It looks gross :P

That's it!

Your turn.
