New layout

We now have a customized layout including a header. What do you think? Too blue? ;)

ETA: Oh... no. I just realized that my css that I wrote for the header alignment doesn't agree with the Internet Explorer. Oh, how I hate that program!!
So, IE users, I'm fiddling with it! (or does it display properly in IE 7? I only have IE 6 or something on my computer...)

ETA: Hah!! Found a tutorial. Is the header still doing strange things?

I love the header! It's gorgeous, what I can see of it anyway. :) Just FYI, I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser, and the alignment still looks a little funky.

And I love the bluish tone. Then again, I just love blue. It seems like such an appropriate color, especially for Angsty!Wilson goodies.

Argh, I can never figure out how to get the alignment right on the first try. What exactly is it doing?

It's a bit far over to the right for me--I use America Online, though. XD

And, by the way, it's very pretty. ^^ I like it.

There's about an inch or so of dead space to the left of the header, and the only text I can see looks like this:

Everything past that point cuts off, and an arrow doesn't appear at the bottom of the screen to let me scroll to the right.

Is that about as clear as mud? And just out of curiosity, which browser are you using?

Yikes. When I view this in AOL, it appears to be even further shifted over to the right. I'm about to see what happens in Netscape.

You don't happen to know how I can align background images using css? The only thing I can do is trial and error and use as much percentage values as possible and hope that it won't look totally off on other screens and in other browsers but MF, IE and Opera.

How I hate web-designing when I can't write my own sourcecode!

Wah! I'm still having the same problem in Netscape, and it still doesn't look any different to me in Firefox, even after I cleared my cookies and refreshed the page.

I wish I knew how to help you, but I'm barely functional in basic HTML. That's why I've never had the testicular fortitude to try to customize my LJ layout. I hate it because it looks so plain, but I'm scared I'll screw everything up if I touch it.

I use the Firefox, too, but I also have a widescreen, and every time I design a homepage, I forget that other people don't have 1280px width to play with. I shrank the header a bit, is it any better now?

I love the new colour scheme (although there was a certain angsty charm to the red, I thought :), and the header looks awesome.
