Ten Months
In principle, this is my response to the While You Were Sleeping Challenge on
sick_wilson .
On the other hand, I can't write dreams believably. No way.
So I stole another line from the challenge text, and followed that:
"one character falls into a coma, and wakes up to a very different reality".
In fact, what I wanted was an excuse to vent my anger at the last few episodes, and to recover from reading
alternatealto's masterful The Taste of Victory. I stole from
pgrabia the idea that if you're really upset you should write a short fic and keep it unbeta'ed, so you can get it out fast and noone can tune your emotion down. I did ask
yarroway for help on a couple of points, though, and was helped with the usual courtesy and speed.
And for some reason I decided to put this up at ff. I thought I would copy it to my lj once it's complete, but if there's a good reason to do so, let me know and I'll do it immediately.
Reflecting my current mood, Ten Months is a very dark fic.
