(Re)Mixing It Up Challenge

As my stint as camp counselor draws to a close, I find myself feeling a little sentimental. So I propose that we revisit some of our favorite sick!Wilson fics of yore… and remix them according to one of the following prompts:

Bird’s Eye View Remix: Tell the story from the point of view of a different character who appears in the original fic.

Wish You Were Here Remix: Substitute a major character who did not appear in the original fic.

Wrong Time, Wrong Place Remix: Set the story in a different time (could even be pre- or post-canon) or place (maybe send Wilson on a trip and introduce us to one of your favorites!).

Radically Reformatted Remix: Drastically change the format of the fic. Expand a drabble into a multichapter (or the reverse), recast a story as an epic poem (see below)… you get the idea.

ETA an additional prompt with thanks to menolly_au , Trading Places Remix: Substitute Wilson in the place of a different sick character and make him or her Wilson's caretaker!

There are many original fics to choose from archived right here on sick_wilson , but you are welcome to use one from another source as well. You should, of course, get the author’s permission before making use of their fic. Also, please make sure to include a link to the original!

Cool challenge - I've always wanted to try a remix...I wonder if it would help the shyer people amongst us if writers who are willing to have their fics remixed would give blanket permission here?

Great idea! I don't have that many fics that I would consider to be Sick!Wilson, but certainly I'd be thrilled and flattered if anybody wanted to remix one.

I was thinking under the rules you could remix say a sick!House fic into a sick!Wilson one but probably not unless Wilson wasn't in the first fic - which isn't likely :)

Hmm... We could have another remix category: Trading Places :D. Substitute Wilson in the place of a different sick character and make him/her the caregiver!
