The Literary Drabble Challenge
Looking for a bit of inspiration to help you pump out a last drabble for Camp Sick!Wilson? Well, my collection of literature books can help.
Give me a page number, any number between... let's say 1 and 400. I will randomly pull a book off my bookshelves and will provide you with the first line in the first paragraph of that book on that page. That line will be the theme of your drabble. Confused yet?
Ex: You ask me for page number 137 in the comment section of this post.
I pull a random book off the bookshelf near my desk and turn to page 137. I respond to your comment with the first line of the first paragraph on that page of the book I grabbed.
The line is "The guy's dead, show a little respect." (taken from "The Darwin Awards: Evolution in Action")
Now you get to write a drabble with that line as the 'theme'. You can post your drabble in the comments of this post, or if you prefer, at your own journal (but please link to sick!Wilson so we can all read it).
A few more things:
1. Don't forget that Wilson should be sick/hurt somehow (stress is always there, so that is pretty easy).
2. The line as the drabble's theme can be interpreted however you want.
3. I'll provide you with the book's title just for info purposes, but it doesn't have to go along with your drabble.
4. If you want to earn a badge for this it has to be submitted by midnight on Thursday.
5. Finally, if you are not a drabbler, and you want to do something else with the theme (a picture for instance), feel free to go ahead.
Let me know if you want to play or if you have any questions!
