Title: Sense Memory

Summary: Wilson samples a favorite childhood candy and suffers some consequences and disappointment as a result.
Words: 91
Rating: G because this drabble has no violence, swearing, sex, drug use, or any other worrisome stuff. You could put this exact scene in a kid’s cartoon and most parents wouldn’t complain.
Warnings: A bit silly, I guess. Also, I don’t know if salt water taffy could do that kind of damage (let alone how much it costs to fix a crown) but other than a bit of angst, which is totally normal for people as they get older, there’s nothing to fret over.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Fox, House md, Hugh Laurie, Robert Sean Leonard, or Arthur Conan Doyle (who’s character was a loose inspiration for the character of House).

Title: Abracada...crap!

Rating: PG-13 because there’s a bit of blood and gore and the name has a swear word in it.
Summary: Every year Wilson holds a huge festival type thing for his child patients who won’t make it to the holidays. He forces House to perform a magic trick for the kiddies and he gets hurt, very badly.
Warnings: Slightly out of character, a bit violent, but not much else worth mentioning.
Characters: House and Wilson close friendship, borderline slash, lots of patients and their parents.

Title: Bored!
Summary: While at a medical conference in London, House and Wilson run into Sherlock Holmes and John Watson run. Crossover between House and Sherlock.
Warnings: OOC, crossover, definitely a crack fic, though it does seem to work and Sherlock and House would probably get on okay.

Title: Crashing
Summary: Wilson comes to pick up a drunken House from Sherry’s bar but his car is in the shop so they get on a bus. Alternate beginning to the “House’s Head.”
Warning: sort of slash but only just barely. Drunk House behaving like he’s drunk, a bit angsty, fragmented storytelling, no curse words or violence though. The crash is a big disturbing. Spoilers for “House’s Head.” Alternate Universe in which Wilson was on the bus and not Amber (if I write more I might even say that Wilson isn’t with Amber in this story but this might be the end).

Title: Cibophobia
Summary: Wilson shares one of his unusual eating habits with House. He has an extreme disliking (nearly a phobia) of a certain kind of food. Cibophobia is the fear of food. Apparently there is no title for fear of specific foods (although WIlson's condition isn't really a phobia).
Warnings: Sort of slash or maybe just a close friendship. House is being nice-ish to Wilson and Jimmy’s a bit OOC too. Also, this is a shortened (edited, and changed) version of a scene I originally wrote into a Sherlock/ Watson (from Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch) fic I’m working on.

Time to play a game! Let's use those mental muscles to solve a mystery, but do it in literary form. What you do is write a drabble or ficlet (or whatever size piece you want) that shows Wilson with an injury/illness. Then someone guesses what the injury/illness is and that person takes a turn. Easy right?

A few things to make it even simpler. If you guess but don't want to write, that's fine too, you played a game and that counts for an activity badge. If you want to write a drabble or ficlet, you do not have to wait until you guessed right, just go ahead and post in either the comments or as a separate post. Writing something earns you the appropriate badge.

Finally, it is not necessary for the medical issue to be a mystery for House or Wilson, just the reader. Just be careful not to have either character name it.

Extra lemonade if it is a summer theme, though that is not necessary. And both easy as well as difficult mysteries are welcome.

Example (to get the ball rolling):

"I can't believe you did that again," smirked House.

Wilson glared at him, taking his hands in an out of his pockets at least three times before he spoke at a rapid pace. "I didn't do this again. Last time, you did it to me!"

House chuckled. "Fine, but at least I did it to you on purpose, this was...this was...I have no idea what this was. How did you manage to do this by accident?"

Wilson, who was pacing around the room at this point, his head bobbing up and down as he walked didn't answer the question. House thought Wilson might be blushing, but it could just be the tachycardia.

Suddenly Wilson stopped in this tracks and whipped around to stare at House. A drop of sweat rolled down from his forehead and into his pupil dilated eyes. Wilson tried blinking it away, repeatedly. He looked ridiculous. House tried not to laugh.

"It was a mix up," he finally blurted out.

Before House could say anything in response, Wilson turned to leave, adding very quickly "Idon'twanttotalkaboutit," before stomping out of House's office. Though not before almost walking into the glass door first.

House watched him go. Well, at least he now had a patient for the day.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, fellow campers.

Today we have a 'drabble' challenge for stories between 100 and 200 words. (Here is a handy site which counts words as you write)

Write a drabble featuring any of the animals from either the badges or the sick!wilson camp banner. Wilson can either be hurt by the animal, or hurt in his attempts to evade/befriend/capture/study the animal :) Anything goes as long as it features at least one of the animals from the badges/banner and a sick!Wilson.

Posting a story will earn you a Drabbler Badge from our self serve range.

Some of the animals featured are a bee, a duck, a bear, a bat, a moose, a shark, a pink flamingo, a skunk, a spider and some other ones that I'm not sure what they are but they look like they could be dangerous to a hapless oncologist like Wilson! (Feel free to chime in with any ones I've missed in the comments).

If anyone is short on writing time but has ideas for our other campers to use please share them! If you have any real life encounters with any of these animals let's hear them so we can ~~steal them~~ use them for inspiration :)

Title: Broken Hearts
Summary: I had a horrifically sad (but also brilliant) idea. What if the idea of House dying in that fire had been too much for Wilson? In an alternate ending to “Everybody Dies,” House goes to his own funeral only to discover that Wilson is not there. He quickly learns something is very wrong with his best friend, something other than the cancer.
Warning: Spoilers for “Everybody Dies” and the end of season 8, alternate universe, and Major character death/ death fic

Title: Bug Bombed and Bummed
Summary: Wilson and House are volunteering at a camp for kids with Cancer. Before the children show up, Jimmy encounter what they believe to be an empty wasps’ nest (House neutralized it the day before) which he kicks, only to receive a nasty surprise.
Warnings: I guess it’s somewhat out of character for House, but Wilson’s being mostly himself. It’s not an alternate universe, but it does take place between episodes or between the scenes of any episode. Not slash, no violence, no swearing, no sex, or anything else I can think of. Also, for those of you who don’t know, a bug bomb is a small device that (once activated inside a bugs nest/ inside a room) will spray insecticide all over, killing the pests. I only learned about them through a Steven King book, never seen one in real life.
Rating: PG to be safe, mostly because Wilson isn’t wearing any trousers (or as we say in America pants).

Yay! It's Friday!

I've enjoyed being a Counselor for Camp Sick!Wilson this summer. It's great to work with such a creative group of folks!

For the last challenge of my week, I thought we could have some fun with drabbles. But first, a little arithmetic! (There's a point to this, I promise.)

Start by counting the number of letters in your LJ Username. If, for instance, your username is "SuzyQ", then your number would be 5. If you have a number greater than 9, add the digits together to get your number. For example, "Alternatealto" has 13 letters, so I add 1 and 3 to get 4.

Next, look at the list below to find your Wild Word. Then write a sick!Wilson drabble that includes that word.

(Being a purist, I believe drabbles should be exactly 100 words long. But there are no Drabble Police, so nobody will be checking!)
