Broken Hearts
Title: Broken Hearts
Summary: I had a horrifically sad (but also brilliant) idea. What if the idea of House dying in that fire had been too much for Wilson? In an alternate ending to “Everybody Dies,” House goes to his own funeral only to discover that Wilson is not there. He quickly learns something is very wrong with his best friend, something other than the cancer.
Warning: Spoilers for “Everybody Dies” and the end of season 8, alternate universe, and Major character death/ death fic
Rating: PG-13 just to be safe
Words: 98
Wilson didn’t go to House’s funeral. Greg thought this made sense. After all he wasn’t really dead. House’s searched their homes, Wilson wasn’t there either. Greg donned a disguise and headed for the hospital. He soon discovered Wilson was a PPTH patient.
“Jimmy, I’m sorry,” House whispered, leaning over his best friend. “Come back. We’ve got mountains to climb, junk food to eat...” Wilson didn’t respond. He spent the next five months in bed. Catatonic. Heartbroken. House stayed by his side. Just as Jimmy took his last breath, Greg’s heart gave out. They died in each other’s arms.
