Insta-Prompt Fic Challenge!
I'll be your counselor for the last two days (sniffle!) of Camp Sick!Wilson. To start off with, I've created what I'm calling the Insta-Prompt.
Here's how it works:
a number from 1 to 14; a letter from A to N; and another number from 21 to 34.
Without looking at the lists below, get a pencil and paper and write down the following:Now look at the lists, and put your number/letter/number combination together to get the prompt for your next Sick!Wilson fic. It will be more fun if you really do choose things without looking first, because the randomness is part of the nature of the game. Some combinations will produce, um, extremely challenging fics to write . . .
This does this and Wilson ends up with
1. Wilson’s car A. attacks Wilson 21. syncope
2. House’s patient B. gets lost 22. a black eye
3. House’s cane C. is stolen 23. 2nd-degree burns
4. Wilson’s teddy bear D. “falls” down the stairs 24. tinnitus
5. House’s Ipod E. disappears 25. a broken elbow
6. Wilson’s current girlfriend F. is up in a tree 26. a loose tooth
7. Wilson’s cat G. can suddenly fly 27. a gaping wound
8. House’s sofa H. is found on the roof 28. narcolepsy
9. Wilson’s stethoscope I. stops working 29. nearly drowning
10. House’s guitar J. mysteriously catches fire 30. concussion
11. Wilson’s tie K. is confiscated by Cuddy 31. sunburn
12. House’s Vicodin L. explodes 32. depression
13. Wilson’s best pair of shoes M. gets soaking wet 33. PTSD
14. House’s piano N. becomes famous overnight 34. temporary blindness

I picked 13, L, 23.
After Chase recovered, it was war between him and House. All-out, no holds barred, mano-e-mano war. After the glue incident Taub refused to even entire the Diagnostics anymore, and House kept a spare set of clothes in Wilson's office. And that was where things went wrong. Afterwards, Chase swore that he'd thought Wilson was stuck in meetings for the next hour and knew that House would be free in five minutes; he didn't count on their patient crashing or on Wilson's meeting being cancelled. So when Wilson came into his office and saw House's new athletic shoes sitting in the middle of the floor he merely sighed and moved them aside so no patient would trip on them.
And that was when the firecracker went off.
Wilson's left hand was swathed in bandages. Foreman was furious; he placed both doctors on suspension and forced them to call a truce. Chase, who'd been lingering down the hallway and heard Wilson's screams, was practically drowning in guilt, and House vanished, presumably to brood in melancholic peace.
At the end of the day Foreman called Wilson into his office.
"You know he's going to figure it out," he said.
"Figure what out?" Wilson asked innocently.
Foreman's expression didn't change, and Wilson's innocence melted into impishness. "Would you care to put some money on when?"
Foreman put $200 on the following day between 10 AM and 10 PM. Wilson took the time up until Foreman's began. They didn't shake hands to seal the bet.
"Why'd you do it?" Foreman asked.
Wilson gave a casual shrug. "It was getting too dangerous. If House were distracted by a case he wouldn't notice something like a fire cracker in a shoe. He could have been hurt. This way neither man wins so there's no need for revenge, and the pranking ends."
Foreman shook his head. "I'd accuse you of faking it, but I saw the burns."
"I was careful. The blisters will heal soon."
Foreman gave him the I-think-you're-completely-batshit-insane face, but had the courtesy not to say so out loud.
Wilson smiled pleasantly and headed home. House was waiting for him with two bags of Chinese takeout and an accusation. Wilson went to bed that night full of moo shu pork and painkillers, and content in the anticipation of the look on Foreman's face when he acknowledged Wilson's win.

This was a brilliant story from such a random set of prompts -- kudos!

We only saw Chase get into pranks once, but I thought it might have been his way of getting even after the stabbing. Just din't ask me to justify why anyone might blame House for that, because I never understood that part.

Wilson's tie, exploding, temporary blindness
How could that even happen?

I don't think I can do justice to that in less than 2,000 words.
