Were[Wilson]wolves of New Jersey!
Here ye, here ye; come one, come all: step right up and see the spectacular and extraordinary James Wilson! Part man, part wolf, this incredible creature of the night has been transformed by the full moon but he will only stay this way for the a very short time.
While researching medical conditions prevalent during the Renaissance Period, I cam across an article on Lycanthropes. Lycanthropy is a psychological disorder where a person comes to believe they are a werewolf. Often this occurs following an animal attack (usually real, sometimes imaginary), but it can be triggered by a lot of things. Given the lack of medical knowledge of the Middle Ages, I can understand their attempts to use supernatural explanations when an otherwise “normal” patient became psychoticly violent. In real life, the people who were given a diagnosis of lycanthropy (for a while, doctors thought ‘werewolf-ism’ was a thing) were probably suffering from rabies, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or one of a dozen other conditions.
To this day [very sick] people become convinced they are werewolves, and the more I read about this subject, the more excited I became to introduce it to you all. With Wilson’s luck, a wolf attack during a camping trip (or any other outing including a trip to the Renaissance fair) is a very likely possibility. This story could take place in modern times or in the Renaissance Era (time travel, au, etc.), and could start with a wolf’s bite or scratch, a dream, a curse, or anything else you can come up with. So, write a story, poem, drabble, or filk song, or make some art, a video, or whatever you’d like. Wilson can become an actual lycanthrope (werewolf) or he can start to believe he is suffering from a transformative disorder when he really isn’t. Maybe House could even start messing with him after a wolf incident. He could leave muddy paw prints, chicken feathers, and small amounts of blood all around his friend’s room, or…well, I can’t give you everything. If you’re feeling really creative you can make up a new creature, maybe werecat, wererabbit, weresnake, or anything else you come up with.
I'm including a few pictures to help get things below the cut. It's absolutely safe for work but there are ocassionally kids on LJ and since these pictures are not G rated (PG at the worst) and I want to be safe.

I stumbled upon a screencap from Whac A Mole which might be the beginnings of this transformation :)
