Who are you and what have you done with Wilson?

For much of this season I've been obsessing over how much Wilson has changed during the life of the series. I still love the guy, but lately the ghost of Wilson-Past looms in front of me, whispering in my ear, "Well they're French. You can't trust a word they say."* I miss the way he stood in the office doorway with a touch of dark cynicism in his voice.

Does anyone feel the same? Has Wilson changed for the better or worse? Is there a scene that you would like to share with your fellow members which typifies your vision of Wilson?

Author's Notes: I started this fic as a donation to "Kicking it Old School" but, as is the way with my fics, it slowly eased into a slashy fic so I've decided to make it its own thing. So the first chapter is loosely based off Season 6's Moving the Chains episode.
