Camp Sick!Wilson Survey
Thanks everyone for attending Camp Sick!Wilson. We loved everyone’s enthusiasm, whether you were an active participant or just a happy onlooker.
There's still one more day left, and we have a little bit of housekeeping to take care of before you head on out. Despite the grumbling and threats (ha!) coming from our favorite oncologist who is comfortably ensconced in our state-of-the-art infirmary, we are considering doing another session next summer and would a appreciate every member's response to our little survey in order to help us plan for next year.
By the way, please check the Lost and Found before you go. I understand there are several unclaimed items: a pair of size 13 athletic shoes, a sweater vest, an over-sized tennis ball, a bottle of mango scented shampoo, and several cherry suckers.
[Poll #1592795]
If there's anything else you would like to add, please comment or PM the mods. Thank you!
Tomorrow's special events: The final badge ceremony, a closing message by our head mod,
geekygecko, and your last opportunity to get ptomaine poisoning from our breakfast burrito bar.

But, in regards to my suggestion for next year (the whole AU or OOC day) here's what I was thinking. Nearly everyone has a favorite era of time, like the 1960's or medieval times, or in the 1980's. Why not put Wilson in that time era and have him roam around in the areas that might not be to good for his health. In the 1960's, make him go to Woodstock, or some sort of concert like that and go from there. In medieval times, have a plague come back. You already like the era, so just place Wilson there and go wild. For OOC day, you would make Wilson be similar to a character that either you yourself identify with either from real life or from a song/movie/TV show, or your own favorite character. I know for a fact that I would love Wilson to be placed in the Buffyverse and have him be a Watcher. Feel free to through in your own Mary/Gary Sue as well if you choose to do so-after all, it is OOC. :)
I already thanked the mods in the "good-bye" post, but I just have to say it again. Thanks! :) I love the mods and everyone else who made this SO much fun. :D

I second this idea. I like that!

*historical AU
*Fantasy characters--song/movie/TV show, OC, vampires/werewolves/dragons/mermen
*Ghosts
*Unleash your Mary Sue/Gary Stu
Either that or "fantasy weeks" where we concentrate on one area.
Fantastic! And I see several campers are already interested. Thank you!
And of course, let me offer you a *hug* and thank you on behalf of myself, the mods, and the counselors. We never forget that camp is only as good as the participants.

I also have a suggestion for next year - Ghost stories. I know, I know, I have been harping on this idea for a week now but I so love ghost!Wilson or ghost!House stories. It fits with the camp theme and either Wilson is dead or emotionally distressed so either way he is hurt and it is a win/win (well, except for Wilson and House, but we they don't get a vote now do they?). :)

And you're right. House and Wilson don't have a say under our voodoo. They must do whatever we tell them. ;)

And, the pedant in me would like to point out that someone misspelled "ceramics"

Always thrilled to hear you were lured into joining one of our activities, but I didn't want to give anyone the impression that only active participants could do the poll. Browsers are participants too.

So, really just a thought. I will have another think though if I can help in any way with that. :D

We are concerned about losing momentum now that camp has ended, so if you ever want to post icons of your own during the year, please do so. We would also love for you to post a challenge. We just need you to run your idea past one of the mods first. Personally, I'm in need of a lot more sick!Wilson icons.
eta: Whoops! I keep confusing manips with macros. We awarded camper badges for the latter. I just sent geeky a an email suggesting that we create a macro/icon badge for future events. Thanks for your input!

And I really enjoyed my stay at the camp I have to say. It's just that I like challenges and there currently isn't a House challenge anywhere (or maybe I just don't know it) so I am missing that a bit. But it's not a must, icons without challenges is just as much fun and most of the time I can't necessarily follow a tight schedule anyway. :(
So it was perfectly grand the way it was. <3

Right now, us mods are taking a short rest for a week or two, but I must admit I'm going through withdrawal pains--it's so quiet.
We do want to encourage participation during the rest of the year, so feel free to pass any icon challenge ideas onto us. We would be delighted to make it a regular activity.

There are definitely free counterparts to what I currently use, all easily obtained. Free models and such are also readily available. :-)
Yup, I'll give it some thought. :-)
