Need a consult!

For the past few weeks, your humble mod staff has been busy as little beavers getting ready for our fourth annual Camp Sick!Wilson, and had planned make it the best one ever.

Then Wilson dropped a bombshell at the end of 8x18, and we've had very mixed feelings ever since about what to do.

On the one hand, without knowing how things are going to turn out, we were concerned that camp might seem inappropriate under the circumstances.

And on the other hand, we wondered if it might be just what the doctor ordered, like a form of therapy to help us work through our feelings on whatever happens.

Then we thought, "The whole reason we created the [livejournal.com profile] sick_wilson community was to fulfill a need that we weren't getting on the show at the time:  lots of Sick!Wilsony goodness, with a generous dose of Caring!House.  So since we've ignored canon for five years, why stop now?  If we don't get a happy ending in the series finale, we'll just create our own."

Well, since we ran out of hands, we wanted to get your input.

What are your thoughts about having a Camp Sick!Wilson this year?  Please respond in the poll below, and feel free to post your comments and suggestions.

No matter what happens in canon, I say we have camp. Even with canon giving us some good stuff, I'm still craving more from our talented contributors. And if canon is mean to us, then the camp theme could be "what if..."?

Seconded :)

There can never be enough Wilson! If the mods are willing (because running camp takes a big effort on your part), then let's gather around the campfire!

We could always clone Wilson and just torture the cancer-free one!

Remember Andie? DOUBLE CANCER! Statistics say Wilson can get doubly lucky, House has done the maths, hehehehe.

I'd like to say yes. But i chose to say "no sure" because if I wind up devastated I wonder if i won't need to completely step away from the show for a bit to get my brain back into reality. I guess i'll have to play it by episode.

I understand completely.

Whatever happens, I love the sick!wilson comm. We can always change the outcome of the series if we don't like it :P

I very much would love and/or need Camp this year. I have no intention of watching the series end since I don't trust the writers to make it a good one. And I would love to try and challenge myself to make some fluff o cheer us all up after what they're doing to poor Wilson this year.
