For Sekret Woid #5, stress.

Title: Starting Point

Thanks much for your patience yesterday while your humble mod was running around like a chicken with her head cut off, trying to redirect all of the links that got shuffled around when we added a new wing to our sick!fic archives.

Everything *should* work like it's supposed to now.  But if you stumble across something that doesn't, please let me know so I can fix it.

To give you an idea how badly we needed some more room, we've added 77 fics and drabbles since Camp Sick!Wilson began on June 1st (plus lots of other cool goodies on some related threads), which represents about an 8% increase in our archives!  And since many of those fics and drabbles are cross-referenced under multiple diagnoses, you can see why our last expansion didn't suffice very long. :)

However, the sick!fic threads weren't the only place where we ran out of room to add more stuff.  You guys have been doing such an awesome job of sending Wilson to the first-aid tent, we had to start a brand new badge ceremony thread so we could list all of the record-breaking 105 badges that were awarded yesterday.  Congratulations to everyone who was part of [livejournal.com profile] sick_wilson history. :)

We still have a few more odds and ends to take care of, but most of them will be behind the scenes and shouldn't affect anyone but us for the next few days.

Thanks again, and keep up the good work of torturing our favorite oncologist!

There are only about three weeks of camp left, and so far we've only added one icon to the arts & crafts bulletin board.

Well, that icon sure looks lonely sitting there all by itself, and we're sure it would appreciate some company.  And we have lots of Icon Maker badges just waiting for a good home.

So consider this an official challenge to submit some sick!Wilsony icons!

And if you signed up for [livejournal.com profile] menolly_au's Sick!Wilson Picture Challenge earlier this week, and you still haven't figured out what to do with it, an icon might be just what the doctor ordered!

Happy torturing!

Two weeks ago I remixed [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry 's wonderful story Long Weekend in my own story, also called Long Weekend (Remix). Dee has a sequel to it called Ever After, which is also excellent, and I toyed with an idea on how to remix that.

The difficult thing was that despite reversing House and Wilson's characters in my remix, it was not possible to do that for Ever After.  However, for whatever reason, I found I couldn't quite let it go, and many different scenarios played in my head all week - all vignettes that would fit into Dee's world. So in the end I decided to just pick one and put it into drabble form.

Please go read Dee's Ever After first, or this is not likely to make any sense.

When I left off, it was with a rough-draft render. I went back to the image, changed the settings from draft to final, rendered again, and this time pulled it into Photoshop to touch it up here and there. Below is the final result. :-)
