To help you keep up with all of the camp-related announcements, challenges, and other activities, we're going to list all of them here and link this thread in the sidebar in the Camp Sick!Wilson section for easy reference.  Because after all, we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to inflict a little pain and suffering upon our favorite oncologist.  Or a lot.  We're not picky. ;-)

We hope you enjoy your stay here at Camp Sick!Wilson!

Have you ever wished you could start using a badge as soon as you've earned it, instead of having to wait up to a whole week until the next ceremony to receive your award?

Well, this year we're going to try something a little different.  Once you meet the requirements for a particular badge, you can help yourself from the appropriate section below and start using it right away!

If this is your first year at Camp Sick!Wilson, or just need a quick refresher, here's how it works.

There are four kinds of badges, with a maximum of 3 or 5 stars depending on the type of badge (click links for additional info):
  1. Camper - For social/interactive kinds of events, such as games, discussions, short writing challenges (e.g., six word or three sentence stories), etc.

  2. Specialty - For submissions that require a specific skill:  novels, fics, drabbles, poems, filks, manips, icons, and fanvids

  3. Special Awards - For campers who go above and beyond the call of duty in keeping Wilson in the infirmary

  4. Camp Spirit - For really enthusiastic campers who max out of one or more badge categories, and keep going and going like an Energizer Bunnny. :)

The 'plus' level just means that we were having a heck of a time trying to keep cramming stars onto a 100x100 icon, and it was easier to create a new level. ;-)

To get your started, here are some userpics you can use until (and after!) you've had a chance to earn some of the wonderful badges that [livejournal.com profile] rslhilson designed for this year's camp.

If you're a camp counselor, please see this section re: how badge credit is awarded for your invaluable contributions to the festivities. :)

And if any of y'all have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.  We'll be in the first-aid tent, making sure we keep the medical supplies well stocked.  Happy torturing!

Howdy, campers!

Welcome to our annual Camp Sick!Wilson, where we gather 'round the campfire for s'mores and to have a little harmless fun.  Well, harmless for everyone but Wilson. ;-)

Many of the challenges and activities will have a summertime, vacation, and/or great outdoors theme.  But if your muse has a different setting in mind, that's fine.  There are plenty of hazards that could await a certain oncologist at home, at the office, on the road, etc.

Submissions don't have to be in response to a specific challenge or other activity, so long as they follow this year's guidelines.  For example, if you have a great idea for a fic where Wilson gets injured in a skiing accident or in a blizzard, that's totally cool.  After all, it is winter somewhere right now. :)

As always, submissions must feature Wilson in some kind of physical and/or emotional distress.  The summer/camp theme is just an added bonus, although Wilson may not quite see it that way. ;-)

There are a few changes for this year's camp, so please make sure you read the Camp Sick!Wilson Orientation and New Self-Serve Badges posts.  And if it's been awhile since you've read the Community Guidelines/General Info and the sticky post, we ask that you please do so at this time. :)

So as soon as you get your bunk assignments all sorted out and get unpacked, help yourself to some coffee and donuts in the mess tent, and our first counselor will be along soon with the first activity.
