Camp Sick!Wilson 2012 Goodbye Mixer
Well Campers, here we are again, the last day of camp. It's always a bittersweet occasion, particularly this one, since it marks the series' end.
How can anyone not get emotional? Saying goodbye to new and old friends, regretting our decision to scarf up a strawberry shortcake instead of joining in an impromptu game of pin the tail on the donkey--only to find out later the donkey was code for our favorite oncologist, and the tail... I'll leave it to your imagination. *shakes head* Darn it, can't do it all.
So while we wait around for the buses, help yourselves to the brunch buffet in the mess tent, take advantage of the great company, chat and hug it out!
As an icebreaker, here's a template for you to use. Please tailor it to your tastes, or whatever you feel comfortable with.

With the series over, do you intend to hang around and participate in House fandom or are you moving on? Why?:

It's hard to surpass Camp, but are you doing anything else interesting this summer?:
Share one habit/quirk/fact about yourself:
Personally, I'd like to take a moment to thank the awesome counselors and my fellow mods for the time and energy they lavished on Camp. You guys rock!
ETA: Just received word from House. Wilson's surgery was successful. Everything remains intact and should be in working order after a six week recovery period.

Age: I never reveal this online either, because I don't like the idea of being deemed too young to understand things nor too old to enjoy some of the things I do.
Favorite House pairing: Amber/House/Wilson, Cuddy/House/Wilson, Cuddy/House/Thirteen/Wilson, Cuddy/Stacy, Cuddy/Thirteen, House/Stacy, House/Wilson, Kutner/Taub, Wilson/Amber
And just a tiny, tiny bit, House/Thirteen, even though one of the things I liked about House and her relationship was that she wasn't largely attracted to him, and I did enjoy their friendship...I just can't help myself. There's a deep understanding there, both without strong parent figures, both preferring to hide and ignore their issues and how they actually feel, and both in constant pain of some sort.
Favorite House episode:
Season 1: Damned If You Do, Mob Rules, Three Stories
Season 2: Cane & Able, Lines in the Sand, Skin Deep, All In, House vs. God
Season 3: Que Sera Sera, Son of a Coma Guy, Whac-a-Mole, Half-Wit
Season 4: Mirror Mirror, Don't Ever Change, House's Head/Wilson's Heart
Season 5: Birthmarks, The Social Contract
Season 6: Black Hole, Knightfall
Season 7: You Must Remember This, Out of the Chute
Season 8: Transplant, Dead & Buried, The C-Word
Favorite House year: Seasons 1, 2, first half of 3, and 4
With the series over, do you intend to hang around and participate in House fandom or are you moving on? Why?: I intend to stick around. I have never had a work of fiction affect me in such a large and significant manner. It literally changed my life, the way I think, and the way I accept, judge, and look at myself, others, as well as the world. I got into the fandom rather late, the tail end of Season 6, so there are so many fics that remain unread. The fandom is filled with high-quality fanfiction, intelligent individuals, and fans who really dissect the show. Now that the entire series is over, one can rewatch and reexamine the characters, relationships, and series with a wiser mind; I feel as though I will have a different view on everything upon rewatching, and I truly have in what I've rewatched so far. I hope to discuss this more with others and have thoroughly been enjoying
Other fandoms? What drew you to them?: I've never been in any fandom before. I'm enjoying post-House fandom quite a lot, am not currently in any other fandoms, and don't plan to join any other fandoms. However, my friends who have been in fandoms before caution me that I will simply be unable to stay away...
Other Interests: A bit of guitar (I can only play a few chords and am rather poor at it), a bit of Japanese Anime, a bit of medicine, a bit of occasional baking, a bit of roleplay, having deep discussions with others, psychology, watching horrible horrible reality TV *guilty pleasure*
It's hard to surpass Camp, but are you doing anything else interesting this summer?: I'm hoping to do a bit more traveling, one of my BFF's is having his birthday next weekend...that's about it really...
Share one habit/quirk/fact about yourself: I have relatively long hair and plan to grow it out to my lower back.
