Camp Sick!Wilson Challenge #1 - The Great Fix

I just looked at the time and realized that 36 minutes ago it became June 1st, and you all know what that means. It's time to hurt your Wilson CAMP STYLE!!!

I'm your counselor for this week, and since this week is short, I thought, why waste any time? So get yourself settled around the campfire and I'll set you up with your first challenge of the season. :D


It's only been a few short weeks since the finale and some of you may have noticed that there was a little bit of injured Wilson in there. I also know that a number of you were... less than pleased with the episode so campers, here's your challenge!

Write an alternate scene in the finale or a continuation where Wilson gets more than just a sprained wrist. Maybe House doesn't let him out of the car, or he doesn't quite get out of the way. Maybe someone in the house gets hit and Wilson feels like their injury or death was his fault. It's all up to you!

Do your worst Campers! You have until the end of camp to post. :D

Google Challenge/Plot Bunny-a-Thon

Poor Wilson just can't get a break.  Well, except maybe in the season finale. ;)

But the summer months can be an especially dangerous time of year for our favorite oncologist.

So to help everyone get into the Camp Sick!Wilson spirit, we're going to kick off the festivities with a challenge.


OBJECTIVE

1. Google something like "summer hazards," and let us know what you found.  Links would be helpful, especially for more unusual illnesses and injuries.


2. List some possible scenarios that could befall Wilson in the form of plot bunnies.  And don't be bashful about drawing from RL experiences for inspiration! :)


3. Feel free to brainstorm with your fellow campers, and adopt any cute little plot bunnies that tickle your sick!Wilson fancy.

Your Camp Sick!Wilson mods have a treat for you. Not only do you get to enjoy the various activities here, like animal husbandry with mauled!Wilson, or hiking around the lake with sprained ankle!Wilson, but we have a thriving arts and crafts program. We promise everyone will go home with more than sunburn and mosquito bites.

In honor of our third year, we are offering a brand new set of badges! Well, they might look more like icons, but you can attach them to your contributions at sick!Wilson (or any community). They are rewards for your creativity. Whether you do large or small activities, we have a badge for you and we'll hand them out while you are here! Yes, every Friday, beginning on June 10, we'll have a ceremony where you'll be awarded badges that you can download and use as icons--just like the spider I used for this post.

There are two kind of badges, specialty and camper.

Specialty—Are you a writer or an artist? Then you have a specialty. Categories include: stories, drabbles, poems (haiku, sonnets, filk, epics, etc.), vids, manips, macros, icons and original art. Each time you post in the same specialty category, you earn an extra star, up to three.

New this year! Specialty+—Second tier of the specialty badges. There are three more badges available at this level.

Camper—Are you a social animal and prefer dabbling in smaller activities? We have an icon especially designed for you too. Camper activities are things like discussions, games, puzzles, differential diagnoses, and other fun stuff. You can earn up to five of these.

Camper +—Second tier of the camper badge for our tireless members. Five additional badges are available at the plus level.

Super Camper—The ultimate camper badge. Upon receiving all ten camper badges, participants are eligible for the Super Camper badge by completing one more activity--that's eleven in all!

Other Categories:

Wilsoneer—Complete a one star project in four different categories from above and you earn this coveted icon. One five star camper badge can substitute for a one star specialty badge.

It Is On!

Hey y’all, and welcome to the launch of Camp sick!Wilson!  We invite you to roll out your sleeping bags, spray on your insect repellent, share around your marshmallows, and get ready to have fun with your Wilson.  By fun, we mean make him miserable.  But do it because you love him :)

In keeping with tradition, we have a packed itinerary for you – fics, drabbles, challenges, poems, graphics, art, games and campfire chats.  Feel free to join in at any time!  We welcome all Wilson-centric misery, and are very partial to a little comfort, too - especially when it comes from House ;)  So unleash your creative muse and help keep our favourite oncologist as uncomfortable as possible for the next seven weeks.  If you have anything sick!Wilson-y that you have to get off your chest, now is the time to do it!

We’re delighted that _slytherin_girl  is going to be our first camp counsellor – and for the rest of this week Wilson will be anything but safe in her capable hands.  Keep an eye out for her dastardly posts!  Call in and say *Hi* - she doesn’t bite.  Hard.  

So come on in and introduce yourself, and mingle with your fellow campers while we finish unpacking the last box of extra medical supplies that just came in.  And please help yourself to the brownies and punch.  We haven't seen House yet, so we don't think he's had a chance to spike them. ;)

We liked a certain phrase in a recent mod post so much, we've decided to turn it into a prompt.

Yup, that's right.  It's a "feverish nekkid Wilson" challenge!


REQUIREMENTS

Write a fic or a drabble in which Wilson:

1. has a fever (with or without delirium); and


2. is naked, or nearly naked--whether it's for medical reasons, because he's too out of it to realize that he's not wearing any clothes, or whatever your sick!Wilson heart desires. :)
