I often (no, really, often) wonder what Wilson was like as a kid. And every kid at some time has an illness, injury, or just boo-boo. For this challenge, tell me a story about a time when young Wilson got sick or hurt, and what happened. You don't have to make it into a fic, or a poem, or anything formal. First times at anything can be scary and dangerous.

The first time 5-year-old James rides a two-wheeler without training wheels, he hits a curb and flips over the handlebars, then spends a week in the hospital with a severe concussion; he refuses to try to ride again for five years.

Climbing onto a vintage motorcycle for the first time, 41 years later, is the easiest thing he has ever done; perhaps it's the company.
