Howdy, campers!
Today marks the last day of Camp Sick!Wilson. It’s been amazing to see how much we’ve already tortured poor Wilson this summer, but with one more day to go he’s not out of the woods yet!
Quite the contrary, in fact: it’s time for the Wilson Goes Camping Challenge! Below is a list of activities that might happen at any summer camp. Choose one (or more!) and write a story in which Wilson, despite his best efforts, is injured at camp. House, of course, is always welcome to come along and “help” Wilson to enjoy his camping experience . . . (Plus, he doesn't want to miss a chance to add to his badge collection!)
Wilson could be injured while:
Driving to camp
Finding a camping spot
Putting up the tent / choosing a cabin
Chopping wood
Starting a fire
Cooking over a fire
Digging a latrine or using the primitive campground bathrooms
Sleeping in a sleeping bag
Going swimming
Going boating (or canoeing, kayaking, sailing, whitewater rafting)
Going fishing
Playing dodgeball (or kickball, softball, badminton, volleyball)
Learning to mountain climb
Hiking
Picking berries
Meeting the local wildlife
Taking pictures
Making camp crafts
Writing letters home
As always, posting a story will earn you a Specialty Badge from our self-serve badge buffet:
Drabbler - Between 100 and 200 words
Storyteller - Between 201 and 7500 words
Novelist - Over 7500 words
Now go forth and show Wilson what Camp Sick!Wilson is all about!
