When posting multi-part fics, we'd really, really, REALLY appreciate it if you'd link your chapters.  Pretty please, with lots of sugar on top?

Why is this so important?

We can only squeeze so much stuff into an LJ post, and when we have to include a link for each chapter when adding a new sick!Wilson story to our archives, that cuts down on the number of fics we can list on each thread.  And that means we have to break the sick!fic lists down into more parts more often, which makes them more difficult and unwieldy for you to navigate, and creates a lot more work for us.

If you're not an HTML nerd, this might not look like it would take up a lot of space, but the code for this one 12-part fic would actually take up about as much space as 12 sick!Wilson stories:

Title (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) by username

Whereas this 12-part fic would only take up the space of one fic if the author added a link at the bottom of Ch. 1 to advance to Ch. 2, a link at the bottom of Ch. 2 to advance to Ch. 3, and so on:

Title by username

We're thinking about updating the step-by-step instructions re: how to post your story, and would like to get your input as to how we can make them more user friendly, especially for the very beginner.

So if you have any suggestions, please let us know.

I've written some instructions to help people edit common formatting problems, especially for fic headers.  Now I just need someone who's more accustomed to working in RTF to take a look at them to see if they make any sense. :)

We've been maintaining two versions of the Sick!Fics by Diagnoses threads for a couple of months now--one where the diagnoses are listed in alphabetical order, and another where they're grouped by category.

However, updating two different lists takes quite a bit of time, and we're trying to figure out if we're unnecessarily creating a lot of extra work for ourselves.

So, we'd like to get your input.  Which version do you find most helpful, and why?  Or does it depend on whether you're looking for a specific type of fic, just browsing, etc.?

Your responses will help us determine if we want to continue to maintain both lists, or possibly phase one of them out.

ETA:  We've gotten a couple of very frantic e-mails from people who are worried that we're thinking about getting rid of the spoiler-free alpha order thread.  Fear not, my fellow sick!Wilson addicts!  We're only trying to decide if we need to keep both versions of the Sick!Fics by Diagnosis threads.  Sorry for accidentally causing a minor panic. *hugs*
